Announcing the Arts Humboldt Sound Cheque Showcase 2018

Arts Humboldt wants to showcase local talent and send one lucky winner down the path to a possible recording career.

Complete contest rules are available (https://bit.ly/2ECKmbr) but in a nutshell:

1. Applications for the showcase are accepted until midnight October 21, 2018
2. Submitted videos are reviewed by Arts Humboldt and the contest judges and the entrants are approved to compete in the live showcase.
3. The Soundcheque Showcase event will be November 4, 2018 so participants will have plenty of time to sharpen their act before taking the stage in front of the judges.
4. The Soundcheque Showcase will be a live performance of two songs each from the participants. The event will be open to the public and a panel of judges only will select one winner.

The winner of the Soundcheque showcase will be coached and recorded by professional producer, Randy Woods at his studio in Saskatoon. The approximate value of this prize is $2,500!

Last year, Ethyn Beggs (Ethyn James) from Humboldt won and his recordings are available online and on Bolt FM. Who will try for the prize this year? Stay tuned.
